The Little Gym has arrived in Silver Spring and will open its doors in the Kemp Mill Shopping Center in July! This local outpost of the popular kids’ gym franchise will offer summer camps (yes – this summer!), classes and the newest birthday bash site in Montgomery County.

The Little Gym Silver Spring’s “anytime” summer camp series begins July 14 and runs until August 22 for children age 3 and up. “Anytime” means that parents are welcome to sign their kids up for as many days per week as they like, and each week has a different theme.

July 14-18: Jolly Roger’s Hidden Treasure
July 21-25: Tarzan and Tarz-Ana
July 28-August 1: Who’s Your Hero
August 4 – 8: Harry’s School of Magic
August 11-15: Coastal Cowabunga
August 18-22: Sports Spectacular

The Little Gym in Silver Spring is also beginning movement and gymnastic classes for kids aged infant to 12. The summer classes begin July 7 and run until August 23. The classes include:

Parent/Child Classes (age infant – 3)
Children attend classes with active parental participation and support. Motor development activities include aerobics, elementary gymnastics skills, stretching, rhythm, songs, group activities, ball play and bubbles! All Parent/Child classes are 45 minutes long.

PreSchool/Kindergarten Gymnastics (age 3-6)
Progress continues in all developmental phases with age appropriate activities including: gymnastics apparatus skills, tumbling, and group games. All Pre-School/Kindergarten classes are 60 minutes long.

Grade School Gymnastics (age 6-12)
Beginning, intermediate and advanced tumbling and apparatus skills taught in a non-competitive environment. All Grade School Gymnastics classes are 60 minutes long.
