Just as Silver Spring restaurants dominated in the CityPaper’s annual Best of DC, The Washingtonian‘s food writers have counted 12 area restaurants in the top 100 best bargains in the June issue.
(And yes, I am counting Wheaton and Burtonsville as Silver Spring too.)
Silver Spring restaurants also garnered the following Best Dishes awards in the mag:
Best noodle dish that’s not Italian: Pad Thai at Nava Thai
Best light meal: Shanghai-style shrimp dumpling soup at Full Key
Best use of tomato: Chicken tikka masala at Bombay
Best fish dish for less than $20: Steamed ling fish with ginger at Hollywood East Cafe on the Boulevard
Best cake you never thought you’d like: ShweJi, a Cream of Wheat cake with cocunut and white poppyseeds, at Mandalay
