My dear friend Jillian Behram’s fiancé, Jason Farley, was killed the morning of Sunday June 29th in a tragic motorcycle accident. Jason was a wonderful man, only 29 years old.
Jason was a loving partner to Jillian and devoted father to their one year old son Demetrius. He loved his family, his many friends and most of all, his Jillian and Demitry. Jason’s huge smile and giving spirit will be keenly missed.
And now Jillian will be raising her son alone.
If you can, please help this young woman and her beautiful child. Donations can be sent to:

Here is the official obituary. FYI, Demitry was Jason’s only son. The other child mentioned is a dear family friend and this child’s mention in the obituary was Jillian’s way to acknowledge a special relationship with a young man Jason took under his wing. And the “memorial fund” stated in the obituary was a way for his parents to pay for funeral expenses. Demitry will not receive any money this way, unfortunately.
Here is a very moving video slideshow and memorial website by Jason’s motorcycle club. The pictures of the little family and Jason – or Coffee, as his club called him – riding his motorcycle are not for the faint of heart.
You may remember I featured Jillian back in January, applauding her hair styling mastery in Silver Spring and her courage as a woman starting her own business. She will need even more courage now:
I have received lots of e-mails and calls with so many great ideas of how we can help Jillian and mobilize as a community to give her options of assistance in so many ways. After the funeral I will post information about a meeting where everyone can come together for a brain meld and get the ideas hammered out to submit to her. Thanks and love don’t express the wonder of this support.
Please keep this little family in your prayers.
