Friday 6:30-9pm, FREE. Have fun at the 2008 Halloween Alternative at BBC, a safe environment for kids to enjoy fun games, prizes, hay rides, face painting, moon bounce, cotton candy, popcorn. Everyone’s invited, children must be accompanied by an adult. No scary costumes, please!

Halloween Safe Night at Woodside United Methodist Church Silver Spring
Saturday 6:30-8pm, FREE. Kids 12 and under accompanied by an adult are invited to this fantastic, free evening. Costumes please, but leave the masks, weapons and gory stuff at home. Games, duck pond, bats in the belfry, storybook corner, pumpkin painting, seasonal treats and more in the bewitchingly transformed Fellowship Hall.

Get A Sitter: Piratz Tavern Halloween Party
Thursday – Saturday. Three nights of Halloween celebrations. Thursday: Haunted Voodoo Luau with fire dancing, free voodoo dolls for first 25 patrons, music, souvenirs. On Friday, Halloween night, revelry with singing dead pirates, belly dancing, costume party, no cover, heated patio. Saturday: While downtown Silver Spring is invaded by zombies, Piratz Tavern will host a Zombie Fest.
