Holy Cross School in Garrett Park/Kensington is hosting an open house on Sunday, April 26 from 12:30-2:30pm. This Catholic school in Kensington offers full day programs for pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. The Oneness-Family School for Children in Chevy Chase is offering a summer program for kids age 2-6 years. The program is entitled “Around the World” and will explore a different continent each week. Momoir Class for Writer Moms DC Mother and freelance writer Jessica Stockton Clancy is teaching a writing class that encourages and teaches mothers how to write their own first-person stories about motherhood (giving one a wide range of topics to choose from!) The first class starts next week on Thursday April 16th and meets every other Thursday for six weeks at Circle Yoga (near Chevy Chase Circle.) The fee for the series is $360. Family Friendly Dance Performance The CityDance Ensemble in Baltimore will be presenting Jungle Books on Saturday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Hall of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The CityDance Ensemble and live musicians will bring the classic characters of Rudyard Kipling’s tales to life. See Mowgli, Baloo, Shere Khan and more to life as they leap, prance and pounce their way across the stage. The performance is geared towards children ages 7-12 and their families. Tickets are $12-20.
