The Celebrate Mama! Montgomery County celebration yesterday in downtown Bethesda was a smashing success! This was my second year participating and the event just keeps getting better.

A gazillion thanks to all you online friends who stopped by the A Parent in Silver Spring table. Wow, you guys are seriously gorgeous in person, I should have worn some lip gloss! It was a sheer pleasure to meet you and your beautiful children.

If you weren’t able to attend, don’t fret. Here’s a complete list of the Celebrate Mama participants’ websites, and read on for the APISS highlight reel of some of the awesome area resources at the Celebration:

CLD Consulting
Corina DuBois is not only the mastermind behind Celebrate Mama!, she’s available to help other business owners and entrepreneurs mastermind their own success. I love that Corina provides both online and phone consulting sessions, perfect for the work-from-home parent. CLD has first-hand experience and the ultimate professional prowess to help a mamapreneur or business reach her full potential. There’s no one else I’d trust more for consulting services.

Stroller Strides Montgomery County
Can’t seem to get to the gym since the baby arrived? Then just bring the tike along on your workout! I can speak from personal experience that Stroller Strides is a results-getting workout and tons of fun for both babes and moms. Stroller Strides is also a wonderful way to meet other moms, find a playgroup and make friends. Owner Cara Hur and all of the Stroller Strides instructors feel like instant girlfriends, in addition to being nationally-certified trainers.

Adelaide Photography
Kristin Callahan specializes in photographing newborns, children and expectant mothers. Working in both black/white and color photography, she uses digital photography which allows parents to view proofs online and share with family and friends. Her kind manner puts children of all ages at ease, and she’ll come to your home or favorite outdoor setting for the kids’ maximum comfort and most natural of smiles. Check out her beautiful work here!

FunFit Family Fitness
The DC area’s best one-stop-shop for open gyms, summer camps and classes for babies-teens, birthday parties, parent night outs and my special favorite, Moms Mornings Out on Tuesdays! My kids love any chance to hit the FunFit indoor moonbounce. I love the warmth and energy of the staff, whether they’re facilitating all the details at a birthday party so I can have fun or teaching my kids the joy of fitness (sometimes while I hit a yoga class solo!)

PEP – The Parent Encouragement Program
PEP is a non-profit educational organization that helps parents deal constructively with children and teens. PEP is dedicated to the building and strengthening of healthy, harmonious adult-child relationships in the home or classroom. I love the positive, amazing events hosted by PEP, and I desperately need to sign up for several of the dynamic workshops. I also hear from so many parents that the PEP core classes for parents make a world of difference in family dynamics.

Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County
DSNMC provides support to families of children, teens and adults with Down syndrome, offers opportunities for these families to socialize and connect with service providers, and also works to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome with the support of organizations such as The Arc of Montgomery County, NDSS and NDSC. Watch this space for upcoming information about the Buddy Walk in October, an event for all families with a fun festival for kids afterwards!

DCMom
DCmom Christina Hendricks “spends countless hours scouring the vast world of the Internet to find products, services and events for moms in the metropolitan Washington, DC area.” DCMom has the scoop on local resources and chic picks that can make motherhood stylish and fun. As Christina writes on her site, “Just because you have kids doesn’t mean you have to give up having a life!”

Moms for a Cure
Moms for a Cure is a group of forty Northern Virginia women whose lives have been touched by blood-borne cancers. They have joined together to raise money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Founding member, Ari Jones, a thyroid cancer survivor, is one of the nominees for the LLS Woman of the Year Campaign. Personal stories of team members can be found here.

Our Kids
Our Kids is a great online resource to local families, providing tons of free information and even more benefits and an incredible weekly newsletter for members. Add the Our Kids website to the top of your web browser bookmarks, and I highly recommend the Our Kids newsletter.

Washington FAMILY Magazine
The coolest free print magazine for families is now available online. Now I don’t have to freak out if they’re out of the latest edition at Whole Foods, woo hoo! They’ve revamped their website too, complete with extra web-only content. I love the writings by local moms and experts featured in Washington FAMILY.

HenJen Handbags
I missed Twitter pal Jennifer at the event, but her nice husband was there with her fun Mother Clucker handbags! I can’t decide which design is my fave – the groovy bright stripes, preppy paisley or the graphic black and white. But all are kid-proofed fabric covered in vinyl, include a matching clutch for easy purse-switching and an exterior pocket for quick access to your phone.

KelPhoto
I had the pleasure of setting up next to photographer Kelly Moffat Saeed, who is proof that a beautiful personality translates to beautiful art! Check out the slideshow of shots documenting her daughter’s first year, and these photos below that she just sent of the crafting at the APISS table yesterday. I had no idea she was shooting and I was too busy chatting to take any amateur pics…thanks Kelly!
