There’s something about Cinco de Mayo that makes me want to make corny jokes and seek out free drinks…a complete holdover from college Corona and Cuervo bar promotions.
But even though I’m now a respectable parental unit, I still think that the best way to celebrate Mexico’s defeat of the French in a 19th century battle is with tacos, tequila and mariachi! And I think the rowdy revelry of years past totally translates to good family fun with the kids.

Today, May 5th at the Cinco de Mayo Celebration along Ellsworth Drive from 4:30-8:30pm there’ll be
- marvelous Mexican food
