The ultimate modern musical, RENT, is coming to Washington’s Warner Theatre May 26 – 31 for a very limited engagement of the Broadway tour. Original Broadway cast members and RENT The Movie actors Adam Pascal (Roger Davis) and Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohen) will be reprising the roles they made famouns on stage and screen and headlining the DC tour!

RENT is an updated version of the opera La Boheme and places the young counter-culture artists in New York’s East Village in the 1990s instead of Paris’ Latin Quarter in the 19th century, and replaces the threat of tuberculosis with the reality of AIDS. And like the opera, it is filled with emotionally moving music and a story of friends struggling to live and celebrate life. Since RENT’s sold-out Broadway debut in 1996, the musical has touched the hearts of so many and won Tony’s galore and the Pulitzer along the way.
