Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs 3-D Free Advance Screening June 27

The voice of Buck? Only the best zombie movie protagonist of all time.
If you know his name then we should hang out.

UPDATE: ALL TICKETS ARE GONE.

Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs in digital 3-D arrives in theaters July 4th weekend.

Oh, you’re busy? No worries, you can see it the weekend before on Saturday June 27 at 10am in Georgetown. Free. With the Buddy Holly 3-D glasses.

I have 25 of those admit-two and you’d-better-arrive-early-to-snag-a-free-seat passes. Want some for your family? You can have them as long as you are fully aware of the following:

  • This film is rated PG. Therefore it’s going to have some funny stuff in there for older kids and adults. They’ll probably use the word ‘butt’ or flatulence to induce laughter. There’s a gag in the trailer where the sloth tries to obtain milk from a male yak and yanks something. Be prepared for your babes’ minds to be sullied.
  • If you’re a scientist, work at the Smithsonian, or are extremely intellectual, please be advised: the timeline is off. It doesn’t make sense. Just from reading Crichton I’m aware that the Pleistocene and Cretaceous periods do not intersect. It’s a kid movie. Cars don’t really talk, fish don’t care when they lose their kids, etc.
  • The first parents to email me their mailing addresses will receive tickets. Please request tickets in even numbered amounts and only for members of your own family. I’ll update here when they’re gone.
  • If you receive tickets and something comes up on June 27 and you can’t attend, please pass along the tickets to a friend.

We’ll be there. My kids would watch NOVA with those 3-D glasses and gummy bears. Should be fun!
