Thanks to Fox Searchlight, I have 75 free Admit 2 passes to a screening of ADAM, a tender love story about a man with Asperger syndrome and winner of the Alfred P. Sloane Prize at Sundance. Immediately after the film, there will be a special live Q&A with the director, Max Mayer, and the film’s stars, Hugh Dancy (Confessions of a Shopaholic, The Jane Austen Book Club) and Rose Byrne (TV’s Damages, Knowing).
The event takes place this Thursday, July 16 at 7:30pm at AMC Georgetown. Just email me if you’d like tickets and I’ll hand them out ’til they’re gone. These passes do not guarantee seating if overbooked, so you’re advised to arrive nice and early to ensure your seat.
I’ve doled out a good deal of free advance screening passes on APISS, but never before have I been able to deliver STARS IN THE FLESH. That sounds dirty, and I know you guys are all super used to seeing Redskins in the roped-off area of clubs and cute, dandruffy Congressmen in line at the grocery store. But from the online squeals throughout the District when Ben Stiller and company were in town for Night at the Museum 2, or the fervor caused whenever Brad/Ang or Bono decide to plaintively testify at a hearing on the Hill, I’m thinking you guys really like yourselves some celebrity booty. Happy to oblige!
Again, the first peeps to email me get tickets. There’s no limit as to how many you can request. Ask for a bunch of tickets, go ahead, PLEASE. I have 75 Admit Twos – that’s a lot of Kleenex for this touching romance of love reaching across social barriers…and a lot of time I’ll be spent emailing you your PDF passes. So make it easy on me and invite the whole PTA, ‘k?
