Fenton Street Market on Saturday September 12

This weekend’s barely over and I’m already dreaming of next Saturday, because I just can’t wait for the Fenton Street Market. Instead of having to trek to Georgetown for a flea market with vintage home goods and crafts and art, we can shop right in Silver Spring at the corner of Fenton Street and Silver Spring Avenue.

The Fenton Street Market is the brain child of Silver Spring parent, resident and editor for ARCHITECT magazine Hannah McCann, who dreamed of bringing the funk of a vibrant street market to Downtown Silver Spring.

From 9am to 2pm (the same time as the DTSS Farmers Market on Ellsworth Plaza) on Saturday September 12 and Saturday October 3, walk around and enjoy the fun with your kids. Children’s activities include making light switchplates and paper beads.

And you’ll be able to shop shop shop for

  • natural baby toys
  • handmade jewelry
  • homemade doggie treats
  • vintage treasures
  • antiques
  • art photography
  • crafts
