If you’re a parent or grandparent of young children, you have undoubtedly become a practiced bedtime storyteller, complete with voices for each character. And it’s very likely you’ve also become a regular at your neighborhood library or bookstore’s story times.

And here are the museums with regular story times covered in the piece (all these story times I have added to the APISS events calendar too):
National Air & Space Museum
Thursdays & Fridays at 11 am, Saturdays at 11 am & 1:30 pm.
National Museum of the American Indian
Daily at 11am (includes discussion about a museum exhibit) and 1pm (included coloring activity.) Free, no registration necessary.
Kreeger Museum StoryTime
Second Thursday of each month 10-11am. $7 materials fee for the art project. Call to reserve one month in advance.
Alliance Francaise French Story Time
Saturdays 11:30am-12:15pm. For kids with enough French to understand a simple story. Free, call to reserve.
College Park Aviation Museum
Stories for kids ages 3 to 5 are on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Story and activity for school-age children every Friday from 2-4:30 pm. Story time is free with museum admission.
Maryland Science Center in Baltimore
Tuesdays at 11 a.m. for kids ages 3 to 5. Story time is free with museum admission.
