Waterfront Fall Festival in Gaithersburg on Saturday

Washingtonian and Rio Center’s Waterfront Fall Festival this Saturday October 24 from 1-5pm looks like a ton of fun. Held all over the family friendly complex happily referred to as “the Rio,” the party will be happening rain or shine and there’ll be lots of Halloween fun for all ages.

(See the photo at left for my then-baby Charlie and his dad demonstrating refreshment fun for all ages.)

Activities include:

  • Halloween and fall crafts like pumpkin decorating and scarecrow making to benefit Manna Food Center (please bring a canned food donation to participate.)
  • Halloween mask making
  • (Not So) Spooky train rides
  • Moonbounce
  • Petting zoo with a variety of farm animals
  • Face painting
  • Raffles
  • Balloon artistry
  • Strolling magician
  • Dancing and musical performances on two stages, including APISS faves Bach 2 Rock and Oh Susannah!

All that stuff offered means your kids? They sure won’t be bored.
