This coming weekend on November 21 and 22, the Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) will host The 9th Annual Enchanted Forest at the Reston Sheraton.  And this event for families is truly enchanted – it’s a fantasyland of decorated trees and special activities for kids. 

But best of all, the proceeds from the event go to help kids in Northern Virginia that need a hand in school through education programs and community partnerships. 

Fun things you can experience with your kids with a General Admission ticket to the Enchanted Forest include:

• a Museum Without Walls room filled with hands-on science projects

• a model train room by the National Capital Trackers, including a Polar Express train

• a kids healthy kitchen room where kids can play with play dough, play kitchens, and even make real (healthy) smoothies.  And Chef Spike will be doing a cooking demo on the main stage on Saturday 11am-noon, and then cooking with the kids too

• children’s performers like pirates, magicians, dancers from Conservatory Ballet, local music groups, face painters and more

• a forest filled with holiday trees adorned with items for silent auction 

• vendors to assist you with your holiday shopping 

Daily general admission to The Enchanted Forest event is $10 per person.  There are also premium events like Breakfast with Santa, a gingerbread house workshop, cocoa and cupcakes with the Snow Princess and more.  Click here for prices and times, and you can purchase advance tickets for all events here.  General admission tickets are available at the door on both days of the event.
