The Washinton, D.C. area humidity and heat is turning every day into a bad hair day for some of us.  But I have to admit, I’ve been doing OK in the hair department in this weather, thanks to Jillian Behram of Headlines Hair Designers in downtown Silver Spring. If you’ve been reading this site for awhile, you’ve heard me gush about Jillian before–she’s the gal in Silver Spring that has turned my hair from gnarly and Nelson-like to pretty and Pantene commericalish.

Now I’m not giving myself props. I’m a total chubby mom that needs to work out more (or get back in boot camp with Rachel!), see a dermatologist, a nutritionist, get some new makeup that’s not from CVS, have someone do something with my nails, get my brows shaped and loads of other maintenance issues. But I pop into Headlines to receive her magic with highlights and hair cuts every three months or so and then can fool the world in thinking I have nice hair.  And good hair goes  A LONG WAY in covering up other bumps and lumps and low self esteem.

Besides, Jillian is also one of the best girlfriends and moms ever, and so every minute in her chair is joy and a crack up.

Jillian is now offering an amazing new treatment that is a great gift to yourself if you’re a woman who’s a slave to blowing her hair straight and standing there with the flat iron each morning: Brazilian Keratin Hair Straightening.

This treatment intensely softens, smooths and straightens hair by coating it with keratin, the substance our hair is made of.
