Summers Farm Adventure in Frederick Opens Saturday Sept. 25th – Guest Post by Tricia Scharnberger

kids pumpkin ride by T. Scharnberger

This is a re-post of an awesome guest post by Tricia Scharnberger, a supermom of two in Kensington who loves finding fun, educational activities for her family. She’s always got the latest and greatest ideas for fun outings. She REALLY needs to start a blog!!!

Here’s some great pumpking patch info: my family and I loveĀ  Summers Farm Adventure in Frederick, MD. It is by far the best farm in the area we have visited for fall festival fun. There are so many things for the kids to do, it was amazing.

There is a pumpkin train, go carts, pumpkin pillow (a giant open air moonbouce,) huge slides, corn cannons, an election-themed corn maze, a hay mountain and a hay ride to the pumpkin patch. My kids loved the corn pit, a pit filled with unpopped pop corn for the kids to crawl around in. There is a playground, and families can cheer the pig and duck races. Our little guys had so much fun and this place makes the BEST homemade apple cider donuts.

It is worth the drive out to Frederick. Everything but the pony rides are included with your admission. Here are some coupons for discounts on admission and to the country store.

Thanks Jess, this still remains our fave fall place.  The kids are 6 and 9 and still get so excited about going.  The maze theme this year is the Redskins and it looks a-maz-ing from the air shot.  Also, in addition to the coupons, you can take a can of food to donate and get $1 off your admission price.  We are heading there the first weekend in October.  It is scout weekend and girl and boy scouts can get a patch.  Oh yea, we will be doing some seriouse cider donut eating as well!!
