Title: A Parent in Silver Spring Calendar
Description: Daily events and activities for families

If there is ever something you’d like me to add to the calendar, send me an email! I list all events for free.

Recurring events are the best fit for the calendar and will reach the most people. The calendar is meant to be a place for a parent to quickly check when she knows she has X amount of time on X day and BOOM, she’s found a fun event to take her child and get out of the house. I also hired a professional redesign last year since you all were getting so fancy with your iPhones and Droids that I knew it was important that you be able to view the A Parent in Silver Spring calendar on your phone. (I dream of developing an APISS app, but I don’t see that in my immediate future, unfort.)

All events I list occur in a public setting and are hosted by an established organization or business. No private sales parties. No private home “basement” shady playdates, dear God, no.  This is for the safety of our kids and parents!

One-time special events are a best fit for a blog post the week of the event. Again, email me about those and if the event is a good fit for the site, I’ll write about it for you!

If you see an error on the calendar, please let me know. I try to regularly call the businesses listed and I am currently painstakingly going through all listings to verify times and details. Businesses often contact me to promote and list their recurring events (for free), but they don’t always contact me when they call them off or change the recurring day or time!

I take my self-appointed role as the provider of public information seriously. I know that I have a responsibility to make sure all info in the calendar is accurate.

(If there is anyone out there who would like to work on the calendar to obtain blog and website experience, send me an email. In exchange for your help, I could help you launch your own website or gain exposure for your blog.)
