If you would like to make it a special parent and child getaway, you can also stay overnight at The Fairfax at Embassy Row hotel. I used to live one block away from this exquisite hotel and I still love taking my children to this area of the city. We visit the The Phillips Collection and National Geographic museum, have lunch at the original Pizza Paradiso on P Street, explore the beautiful Georgetown parks and more.
