Going to see Disney on Ice with my children has become a wonderful wintertime tradition. From our very first show when Charlie and Eve were just five and three, we have always found the Disney on Ice shows to be productions of the highest quality. The experience is a combo of seeing a kid-friendly Broadway show and having the magic of Walt Disney World or Disneyland brought to us, right here in DC.

My kids and I are excited to check out a new Disney on Ice show that we have never before seen: Treasure Trove. In this production, over 50 Disney characters will speed, dance and flip across the ice to favorite classic Disney songs. Featured performers include Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook, Ariel and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland and Snow White. When I told my big kids about the “line up” they were thrilled, since we have our very own Alice in our house (our beautiful toddler), as well as a Peter Pan (the Siamese cat).

You too can bring your kids for a night (or matinee) to remember.

Thursday, February 14th @ 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Friday, February 15th @ 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, February 16th @ 10:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, February 17th @ 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Monday, February 18th @ 12:30 p.m.

Ticket Prices: $20-$80

Tickets are available at via Ticketmaster online or via phone  at 1-800-745-3000 and in person at the Verizon Center box office.

One lucky A Parent in Silver Spring reader family will win 4 free tickets to see the opening night of Disney on Ice on Wednesday night February 13, 2013 at 7:30pm. 

Please check your calendar to make sure you are available, because after the tickets are issued in the winner’s name they cannot be transferred to another person.

    I love the idea of making this a tradition. As native Floridans Disney is dear to our hearts. The girls 4 and 2 haven’t been we are waiting until next year to take them.
