Kids Yoga During Spring Break
Want fun for your kids during Spring Break AND fitness and inner peace for you? Then sign up for Kids’ Yoga at Blue Heron Wellness Silver Spring. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday — March 26, 28 and 29 — from 10-11:15 am children age 6-12 will enjoy an introductory, kid-oriented yoga class. Kids will stretch, relax, breathe and have fun. (My Charlie and Eve love these classes at Blue Heron!) The cost is $15/child. Space is limited so call Blue Heron at 301-754-3730 to reserve your child’s spot.
Parent Yoga in the Studio Next Door
While the kids enjoy their drop off class, parents can enjoy an adult yoga class in the studio next door! On Tuesday and Friday parents can take Mixed Level Yoga, a motivating class is open to all levels and focuses on creating an alert yet peaceful mind and a refreshed body. And on Thursday parents can take Core Plus Yoga, a class to help develop core strength and awareness in mind and body for all levels. Standard prices/pass policies apply for the adult classes — the drop-in fee for a single class is $20, and 3 sessions is $50.
Parents are not required to attend an adult class while your kids have theirs next door. You could pop into Trader Joe’s and Starbucks while your kids find their downward dog and happy baby…but I highly recommend Blue Heron’s adult classes. I always feel improved in spirit, and well, booty and abs after a class in their beautiful studios.
Teen Yoga on Saturday March 30
Parents of teenagers can sign their teens up for Teen Yoga on Saturday March 30 from 12:00-1:00 pm. This exciting teen flow class will help students release from the pressures of school and reconnect with their bodies and breath. $15/teen.
