A great addition to this already-awesome day? Tickets to an unforgettable children’s performance located within Glen Echo Park, such as the brand new production of Big Nate at the Adventure Theatre. Aimed at children age 5 and up, families can delight in the world of Nate Wright, a detention-riddled, drum-playing sixth grader who hopes to woo beautiful Jenny by winning the Battle of the Bands. Tickets are $19 person, and there are shows at 11am and 2pm. Order your tickets now, as the show may sell out before Saturday.

Another fabulous children’s theatre option is The Puppet Co. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers will enjoy Tiny Tots’ Clowning Around from 1o-10:30 am (tickets for everyone are $5). Kids aged kindergarten and up can enter the fairy tale world of Cinderella performed the The Puppet Co.  at 11:30am and 1pm on Saturday; tickets are $10 per person.
