Each year, the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP) invites national experts to come to the Washington community and speak to parents. On November 13th and 14th, 2014, PEP will host Tine Payne Bryson, Ph.D., to speak about parenting and her new book, No-Drama Discipline. Using humor and compassion and focusing on situations parents face every day, Dr. Payne Bryson will demonstrate how discipline with empathy works to teach children of all ages how to behave. Dr. Payne Bryson is a pediatric psychotherapist, school counselor, parent and co-author of The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama Discipline. She presents research from various fields of science in a way that’s clear, realistic, humorous and helpful. She will give two talks:
