Make a Gingerbread House at Make Meaning Bethesda Row (less than $10!)

I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.

Many places in the DC area offer gingerbread house making experiences for kids.

Usually the prices drive us to Michael’s for one of those sad looking kits or compel us to make crime scene messes in our kitchens with graham crackers and canned frosting.

However, one local business, Make Meaning Bethesda Row, is cutting through the crazy with the coolest holiday deal ever:

Make Meaning Bethesda is offering a coupon
here on A Parent in Silver Spring:
$9.99 for one Gingerbread House Decorating Activity (regularly priced at $49.99!)

What you get

I was excited to have the chance to test Make Meaning Bethesda Row’s Holiday Gingerbread House making experience with my children. Each child was given his and her very own already-assembled real gingerbread house to decorate to her liking. Each kid receives an already-loaded frosting decorating bag with a tip that is easy for children to use. Even my three-year-old Alice could easily ice her house.

Make Meaning Bethesda Row provided a massive, bountiful buffet of holiday candy for each child to customize her cottage. And these were not your standard peppermints and candy canes. No, we are talking gummy Christmas lights, spun-sugar trees, custom candy snowmen, tart snowflakes, cotton candy snow drifts and oodles more. There were also lots of adorable toy touches to add to the exterior of the gingerbread homes, like plastic deer, groves of miniature trees, and tiny presents.

Make Meaning Bethesda Row also employs the kindest, most enthusiastic staff members who happily serve as helpful “elves” to the kids as they craft their creations. Parents can relax…and even make their own!
