GIVEAWAY: Washington Auto Show 2015 – Kids 5 and Under Free!

Have you ever attended a car show? This one will be my first. I am attending the Washington, DC Auto Show as a guest of Chevrolet, and I hope you will join me, too!

10 Reasons to Attend the Washington, DC Auto Show

10. It is happening during the dreariest days of Washington weather, Friday, January 23 – Sunday, February 1. Rather than battle cold winds, you can enjoy the warm, welcoming auto and tech-filled glory of the Washington Convention Center.

9. You can Metro to the Washington Convention center easy-peasy. Parking is limited. Ah, irony.

8. You can bring your kids for a song. Vehicle-obsessed toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners age 5 and below are totally free, and kids aged 6-12 are a mere $5.

7. Adults and teen tickets are just $12, and you will quickly get that back in the swag from the auto booths, I imagine. (I may not have attended an auto show before, but I have brought home many an expo hall goodie.)

6. SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick and the Angry Birds will be on the expo floor, making you a rockstar parent for combining a character experience for your kids with your day of car love.

5. Meet celebrities such as WWE and Redskin legends. There is always the possibility to see more town VIPS, too.

4. There’s a free Washington Auto Show app for both Android and iOs, to make for easy navigation of the show floor and scheduled events.

3. You will learn about the latest driver-assist technologies, communications and “infotainment” systems, fuel economy achievements and more at the auto show’s Advanced Technology SuperHighway Café. Washington Post journalist and recognized automotive industry expert Warren Brown will be highlighting his picks for the best advancements of 2015.

2. Experience the all-electric Chevy Volt, a car I find completely fascinating for Washington commutes, as well as more 2015 green cars.

1. Get a chance to see and even ride-and-drive an array of brand-new cars, all in one place!

Are you excited? You can learn even more at The Future of Cars Twitter Party on Monday, January 19 from 9-10 PM EST.

My fellow Twitter Party panelists and I will be tweeting about auto innovations in brands like Chevrolet. Under the hashtags #NextGenVolt #Chevrolet and #TMOM, we will be talking about battery-charged cars, SUVs designed for the city and soon, the all-electric Chevy Volt.

This Twitter party will have prizes such as a family four-pack of tickets to the Washington, DC Auto Show, for you to use any time January 23-February 1, 2015, Washington, DC and a Chevrolet Ultimate Tailgate package, including a Bowtie travel mug, a Tailgate cooler bag and a warm and cozy Chevy Beanie cap.
