Facials with Friends at Center for Plastic Surgery + Discount

What is better than a facial that completely refreshes your mug? Getting that facial with friends!

Center for Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase (there is an Annandale location, too) invited me and my dear friends Sandie Angulo Chen of The DC Moms, Leticia Barr of TechSavvyMama and Amy Mascott of TeachMama to review customized, medical-grade facial treatments.

The Chevy Chase Village location is beautiful and serves as both a doctors’ office and spa. My friends and I met for a tour and then paired off for personalized consults with the staff skin care experts.

Skincare Specialists Martha Pena and Marily Salls have decades of skincare experience. They studied all of our late-thirties and early-forties visages and chose the specialty facials that would work best for our individual skincare needs and dramatically improve our skin.

Marily deemed that my skin could be benefit from the HydraFacial MD. This new multi-step treatment combines gentle exfoliation, cleansing pore purification, and hyaluronic acid hydration therapy. The various processes both nourished my sun damaged parched skin and cleared up my clogged pores. Marily varied the medical grade facial, as she does for all her patients, so that the entire treatment met my skin’s needs. (I think this is also a polite way of saying that she spent a lot of time on my pore extractions. Charming, I know.)

The treatment was relaxing and completely pain-free. Afterwards my skin felt like a baby’s and was so much clearer! One week later my face is still looking great! There was absolutely no redness.

Leticia had the iS Fire & Ice facial, another specialty facial treatment at CPS which is actually two facials in one. Patented by skincare brand iS Clinical, the “fire” is a resurfacing mask with glycolic acid, citric acid, vitamin B3, antioxidants, and other powerful ingredients that cause a slight tingling sensation. Then the “ice” is a rejuvenating mask that cools the skin with natural extracts. This combination can dramatically brighten skin and give you a healthy glow.

Sandie received an iS Fire & Ice facial as well, but her treatment was customized for her sensitive skin.

Amy was named a great candidate for the FiSZZ facial which works to smooth, brighten and purify skin in four steps: cleansing, a clarifying masque, an exfoliating masque and a copper firming mist to seal in moisture, reduce puffiness and help prevent breakouts.

After our treatments the four of us were all aglow. The skincare specialists also customized for each of us skin care goody bags packed with samples that would improve our faces.

It is not fair that we bloggers have all the fun, so CPS has a gift for you:

New patients who mention discount code CPSMoms can get 20 percent off a skincare facial treatment!

This code is good for both the Chevy Chase and Annandale locations.

Highly recommend!
