Fall Farm Day at Hard Bargain Farm

Save the date for Fall Farm Day at Hard Bargain Farm on Saturday, October 26!

Explore this Prince George’s County 330-acre riverfront working farm and environmental education center. You and your family can participate in the educational activities just like students who visit for hands-on learning field trips. Activities include wetland exploration, hayrides, meeting the farm animals, strolling through the children’s garden, arts and crafts, and more.

Pack your own trash-free lunch and enjoy a picnic on the farm. Additional food and refreshment options will be available for purchase. Tickets are just $5 per adult (or $3 if you become an Alice Ferguson Foundation member) and kids are free. Get tickets online through Eventbrite.

Hard Bargain Farm offers education programs for elementary and middle school students to teach about the natural resources of the Potomac River watershed and southern Maryland, and professional development for teachers in environmental education.  If you’re a teacher, schedule a field study.  They also offer homeschool programs

All of these educational opportunities are part of the mission of the Alice Ferguson Foundation, which aims to “connect people to the natural world, sustainable agricultural practices and the cultural heritage of their local watershed through education, stewardship and advocacy.” Membership is affordable and offers lots of programming benefits.
