Who needs a sidekick or a team when you can do everything yourself, and do it just the way it should be?  Captain Everything, everyone’s favorite superhero, loves saving the day and doesn’t need anyone’s help to do it. Sure, she has an Alliance of superheroes, but no one minds if she just handles everything herself.  Or do they?  What happens when everyone else gets tired of being left out of everything and quits? And what happens when Captain Everything faces something she can’t do?  Can she face her fears and cooperate with her team to save Citytown City?  Or will it be too late?

The Hero of EVERYTHING is a fresh, fun, and interactive way for kids and families to explore the importance of teamwork and the perils of trying to do everything yourself, all by being part of the action of a superhero play for heroes of all ages. The interactive experience begins at before of the show with a brainstorming session among the actors and the audience – Let’s come up with some ideas for some brand new superheroes for today’s play, superheroes no one has ever seen before! – and continues after the show with opportunities for autographs and photographs with the actors. Kids get an amazing superhero adventure just for them. Parents get a chance to enjoy a meaningful experience with their kids, and a discussion & activity guide to help continue the experience at home! Everyone gets to take part in a riotous superhero romp and be a hero for a day!

Performances at 11:30 and 1:30 p.m. each day.  Best for ages 4 and up.

The Requiem, a new play by Highwood student Madison Middleton; Directed by Highwood student Eva Silvernan  A STUDENTS' THEATRE PRODUCTION | PRESENTED AS PART OF THE WOMEN'S VOICES THEATRE FESTIVAL Discouraged by her failure to cement herself within the music industry, Maria, a young violinist, finds herself where she began: her parent's townhouse. When she arrives, however, the house is dim and her parents are not at home. Maria decides to settle in and unpack despite their absence. In that process, she discovers an old man with a passion for Mozart living in the attic. Inspired by The Highwood Theatre’s desire to raise awareness about mental health issues, The Requiem is a dramatic story of music and memory loss, a side of mental illness Highwood has yet to explore. This production is written and directed by female students and will feature a talented all-student cast.
