Sesame Place: Awesome Summer Day Trip
14 JulLeave a Comment
I do not know why we had not before visited Sesame Place in nearby Pennsylvania, but we will definitely be back!
My family is always hungry for travel and adventure, but our budget can not handle constant week-long quests. Day trips, though? Those we can do, especially in summer when we try and make many days feel special.
A recent Sunday jaunt to Sesame Place was a winner. My elementary- and pre-school aged kids both loved the rides and water slides. The wet and dryland activity options Read more...

I love spending time with my women friends.
About once a month I get together with my gals for an evening of great conversation, food and wine. It feeds my soul.

Ropes Course for Kids at Terrapin Adventures in Savage Mill
26 AugLeave a Comment
Terrapin Adventures in Savage Mill, Maryland has added a Terrapin Explorers course for kids age 5-9.
My Charlie and Eve were some of the first kids to try out the new course on opening day, and they were dazzled by the experience. Both of my kids are a little tentative when it comes to heights and risks, but the gentle, confident, plentiful staff members are with the children every step of the way. Knowing they had constant support made all the difference to Charlie and Eve, and gave them Read more...

List of Local Hills for Sledding
22 Jan2 Comments
Since beginning this blog I have hoarded lists of hills recommended by other local parents. I have only launched my children and myself down a couple of them. I would just like to say that I accept NO LIABILITY for any injuries incurred. I do knot that none of the hills listed dump children out into oncoming traffic. Sled at your own risk, supervise the kiddies, mind the icy roads, and stay safe today!

This is not only my favorite place to catch a concert, it is simply my favorite evening haunt in the DC area. My happiness sensors start going haywire as we walk Read more...
