I write a column, wittily titled Mom of a Million Mistakes, for my local Patch site. It may be a local readership, but I pretend I’m Anna Quindlen/Erma Bombeck/John Grogan when I hit the keyboard with for my weekly musings. I also find great deals for parents with my Frugal Famili es posts and fun stuff for moms without the kids with my Great Escapes features.

Like the rest of the world, I’m on Facebook. According Facebook’s Networked Blogs, A Parent in Silver Spring is the one of the most-followed blog in the moms category, and is in the top 5 in the parenting and family verticals.

I Twitter, I have a couple thousand followers, follow people back that crack me up and try to provide good 140 character one-liners in return.
